Interested in getting your company or brand in front of a concentrated audience of credentialed and licensed art therapists?
The Northern California Art Therapy Association (NorCATA)’s biennial conference will take place on August 2-5, 2018 at the Sonoma State University Events Center. This is our second conference with attendees and presenters who will be coming from five western states. Our conferences are a magnet event for art therapists, clinicians, educators, students, interns, counselors, and professionals from allied fields. You can increase your visibility by participating in a variety of opportunities including advertising, sponsorships, and exhibits.
Beyond a counseling or psychotherapy practice, the future of art therapy demands a new type of creativity, solidarity, and social inclusion. This viewpoint explores the art therapy profession and the role of educational practices to envision change in uncertain times. Art therapists have the ability to offer expertise in the serious dilemmas facing humanity. In order to do so, art therapists need to learn to tolerate the messy margins of participatory experimentation, expanding conventional ways of practicing art therapy
Our goal is to raise $50,000+ which will be used to help fund scholarships for new master’s level and doctoral students, to promote the therapeutic use of art throughout Northern California, to promote and participate in community mental health awareness activities, and to promote public awareness of art therapy through instructional presentations to community agencies, and workshops, and conferences such as this one.
In order to meet our goal, we are asking for sponsorships from local businesses. Your marketing resources will help you reach individuals who buy a wide range of products and services used by their hospitals, medical centers, educational institutions, private and group practices, community and civic organization, and related facilities. As a sponsor, your name will be placed on various materials and banners that publicize the event as well as being announced verbally at the event itself. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks in advance for your consideration - we look forward to working with you this year!
