About asilomar: a video
asilomar is having a birthday!
Asilomar Conference Grounds celebrates its centennial in 2013. 100 years of excellent hospitality, vast history, famous architecture, pristine surroundings and much more. Asilomar has transformed over the past century from a YWCA Summer Leadership Camp to a full-service hotel and conference center with some of the best scenery around. Asilomar is renowned for its restored dune ecosystem and architectural significance, with cozy, historic structures designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan between 1913 and 1928. Thirteen of Morgan’s original buildings still stand today and they represent her largest collection of Arts and Crafts style architecture in one location. In 1987, the original Morgan buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Warneke buildings will likely follow. While updates have been made throughout the decades, the tranquility and harmony found at Asilomar have been preserved. Get the complete story of the Park's history.
